Mariana's Boudoir Experience

In Her Own Words....

I was referred to Candice by a family member who had recently gotten married. I remember the first time going to the Sexy Serendipity Instagram account and just being in awe at how professional and amazing her boudoir photography was. No other boudoir photography I came across even compared to hers, and I was in love with the way she captured her clients.

Candice makes all her clients look like models and flawless in every way. I thought, if I was really going to put myself out there and do this, then I’d only go with the best. After all, I wanted a reaction out of my husband, and those were no ordinary boudoir photos!

The day of my session, I remember feeling nervous. I had never felt comfortable in my own skin. Upon my arrival, Candice was super welcoming and sweet. I felt so pampered and relaxed as I got my makeup and hair done (which came out amazing, by the way). Also, Candice seriously makes the best mimosas I’ve had in my entire life!

During the photoshoot, Candice made me feel very comfortable. My biggest advice to anyone feeling uncomfortable is to remember that Candice has probably shot over hundreds of women, and she’s a complete professional. There's nothing she hasn’t seen before! So just trust her, follow her guidance, and don’t hold back as she knows how to enhance every figure.

One thing that took me by surprise is that her technique is so different than I thought it would be! I assumed her photography aesthetics were due to editing and filters, but I can tell you now it's totally not! She really takes the time to work with her lighting. It was so interesting to see how she works with shades and curtains to get the lighting and shadows just right, which in turn gives her images that sultry, dark, and sexy outcome! It’s very cool to see her work her magic. She truly is an artist!

I looked sexy... and beautiful... and flawless! I was in disbelief and completely IN LOVE with every single image. Narrowing them down was the hardest decision I had to make.

When Candice showed me my raw images, shocked is an understatement. I remember I had kept postponing my session to try and lose weight but failing to do so every time. Seeing my images for the first time was one of the things I was really concerned about. I was anxious about just feeling complete disappointment and shame in myself and it all being a waste.

I can tell you now that was far from what I felt. I looked sexy... and beautiful... and flawless! I was in disbelief and completely IN LOVE with every single image.

Narrowing them down was the hardest decision I had to make. In fact, that week after my shoot, I literally couldn’t stop looking at my pictures. I was obsessed—so much so, I ended up texting Candice and asking her to add additional images to my order because I couldn’t help myself. Every picture is seriously a piece of art.

At the end of it all, this turned out to be more than a gift for my new husband. It was validation to me of my worth and how beautiful I really am, which is priceless. It’s hard to look in the mirror and feel beautiful, but looking at those images, I now have no issue of seeing just that.
